Underground Cable Fault Locating
In El Paso County (Colorado Springs, Monument, Peyton, Calhan, Ellicot, Falcon, Black Forest, Fountain, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, etc) it is not uncommon to loose a portion of power to your house to a faulted underground cable. Underground cables go bad for many different reasons. Could be it was laid in the ground next to a sharp rock, or was damaged before or during installation. It could be a varment or even a lightning strike. Whatever the reason you will know this is the problem if your dryer and range don't work but it seems like you have about half of the power in your house for lights and plugs, or just give us or your utilities company a call and between us we can help you figure out for sure whats going on. This type of problem can also be caused by a loose termination in the meter or transformer or main breaker. Please call a professional and always be careful when it comes to electricity.
When we come out we can locate the underground break with a underground cable locator. We will dig it up and repair or splice the faulted cable or cables.
